Blueberry Dessert Social - 6 PM - Enjoy our Blueberry Dessert Competition while learning from Naturalist Patti Smith, as she presents "Homing: The curious tale of a beaver called Pumpkin." Pumpki'n story was unusual from the beginning when he was born to a single mother in a culvert. From there it got stranger. Much stranger. Learn about Pumpkin's childhood in the Beaver Lodge and the many adventures that ensued on his path to adulthood. His surrogate parent, wildlife rehabilitator and BEEC naturalist Patti Smith, will share what Pumpkin taught her about beaver childhood, adolescence, and maturity. This presentation is richly illustrated with videos and photos. Home bakers are encouraged to submit entries into the Blueberry Dessert Competition. Prizes for top adult and top kid creations!
